Sira is afraid of dirty things but has to get involved with a beautiful designer named Keetika (Kanghan) who is cunning but kind. Kheetika’s personality is very different from hers.

Kheetika and Sira stay together to complete their respective missions. Sira asks Kheetika for help to persuade Sasa to work for her company.

Unbeknownst to him, Sasa is Kheetika’s ex-lover who was forced to break up because of his adoptive mother Premyuda. Despite all these problems, Kheetika and Sira become close as they live together.

You Are My Heartbeat Review

You Are My Heartbeat is a lighthearted drama that will make you feel like you are riding a roller coaster while watching it.

It’s a true Thai rom-com style with slapstick antics, and witty and humble humor to match the story. It also uses perfect timing, perfect romance, and effective musical effects to keep things interesting and entertaining for me from start to finish.

One can expect worldly tropes like the intelligent but emotionally stunted “CEO” Sira, the obnoxious supporting female character who is drawn to Sira, and the domineering and narrow-minded elderly relative, their grandmother. The granny is just plain obnoxious, a necessary antagonist that keeps the show from being too overwhelming.

I think the whole show is a showcase for Push and Mai, who have great chemistry and look absolutely gorgeous together. Both can do comedy, and they do an excellent job of portraying their characters, including the more emotional scenes.

Romance-wise, it’s a slow burn, which I don’t mind at all. For someone so unfriendly and inexperienced in love, Sira is one of the smooth operators, saying the most cheesy but adorable lines for Kheetika. One can see Sira’s character development as Kheetika gradually helps her get rid of her germaphobia and reaction to lies.

My Verdict

Overall, I enjoyed this Lakorn. Even though the main couple got together early, I didn’t quite get their sweet moment as the side plot of Sira and her grandmother became the main storyline towards the end. Having said that, the last few scenes were very funny, so in the end, it was a great ending.
